Eddie has invested a sizeable part of his life in studying the blues legacy and he is keen to pass this knowledge on to future musicians, not just as a performer and recording artist but also through masterclasses and workshops.

Eddie teaches harmonica, slide and finger-style acoustic guitar, electric blues guitar and electric blues slide guitar, songwriting and band skills. He has authored several course books including “Roots of Rock Guitar” “Introduction to Country Blues Guitar” “Introduction to Slide Guitar”,”Intermediate / Advanced Blues Harmonica” which include original transcriptions of key stylists in the Afro American Blues traditions.

As well as freelance work, Eddie is a regular tutor with the European Blues Association, Guitar Retreats, and Creative Vacances

Nov 17 Tenby Blues Festival, Slide Guitar Workshop 1-2pm Fourcroft Hotel Tenby

An introduction to basic techniques, slide sounds on electric and acoustic guitars, and setup and instrument advice.


June 10-15 Electric Blues Guitar and Band Performance Skills, 1 week full board residential course, Creative Vacances, La Moreau, (near Bordeaux/La Rochelle) France

This course combines Electric Blues Guitar skills training – comprising sessions on the licks and set-up secrets of the Blues greats (from T Bone Walker through to the 3 Kings), tone,  slide guitar, rhythm and improvisation – with Band skills workshops on Song-writing, Timing, Arranging a song, Dynamics, Set Construction, and further options such as Blues Harmonica Basics and Singing coaching. Participants rehearse and develop repertoire in various small group and duo formats working towards a concert performance on the Friday evening to a small invited audience.
