Eddie has invested a sizeable part of his life in studying the blues legacy and he is keen to pass this knowledge on to future musicians, not just as a performer and recording artist but also through masterclasses and workshops.

Eddie teaches harmonica, slide and finger-style acoustic guitar, electric blues guitar and electric blues slide guitar, songwriting and band skills.

As well as freelance work, Eddie is a regular tutor with the European Blues Association, Guitar Retreats, and Creative Vacances

Aug 28-Sept 2 Acoustic Blues Guitar 1 week full-board residential course, Creative Vacances, La Moreau, (near Bordeaux/La Rochelle) France

The course offers a structured and comprehensive entrance into the world of fingerstyle and bottleneck acoustic blues guitar. The goal of the course is for students to develop a foundational, working repertoire in acoustic blues styles moving through key players such as Son House, Charlie Patton, Robert Johnson, Mississippi John Hurt. You will learn the basics of slide techniques and tunings and how to fingerpick melodies and solos over independent bass patterns, working through tab, video material and key songs.

June 10-16 Electric Blues Guitar and Band Performance Skills, 1 week full board residential course, Creative Vacances, La Moreau, (near Bordeaux/La Rochelle) France

This course combines Electric Blues Guitar skills training – comprising sessions on the licks and set-up secrets of the Blues greats (from T Bone Walker through to the 3 Kings), tone,  slide guitar, rhythm and improvisation – with Band skills workshops on Song-writing, Timing, Arranging a song, Dynamics, Set Construction, and further options such as Blues Harmonica Basics and Singing coaching. Participants rehearse and develop repertoire in various small group and duo formats working towards a concert performance on the Friday evening to a small invited audience.
